Border Security Force (BSF) invited application for Recruitment to 797 posts of Constable (Tradesman) for various trades such as Cobbler, Tailor, Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Draughtsman, Cook, Water Carrier, Washer man, Barber, Sweeper, Waiter, Mali and Khoji etc. A huge number of candidates who are looking for the police jobs applied foe these posts. The admit cards for the selected candidates have sent through the post.  BSF has been released the date of Constable Tradesman Phase-I Examination (PST/PET, Documentation & Trade Test) for Gujarat, Indore, Assam and Manipur. The list also contains exam date, venue etc. It is notified that the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Constable (Technician/ Tradesman) will be conducted by BSF for candidates have been shortlisted for PET/PST.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is the primary Border Guarding police force of India. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India, it was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December 1965. The Border Security Force has its Headquarters at New Delhi and is known as Force Headquarters (FHQ) headed by a Director General. Various Directorates like Operations, Communications & IT, Training, Engineering, General, Law, Provisioning, Administration, Personnel, Medical, Finance etc. function under the DG. Each Directorate is headed by an IG.
