Remember ‘Chak De! India’ Actress Shilpa Shukla? Here’s How She Looks Now
It has been more than 10 years since Chak De! India first released, and not one, not two, not three, but 16 sporty girls debuted with SRK in the film! We all know that the film was a blockbuster hit, and was loved by all. Years later, the Chak De! India girls have definitely come a long way.
While some of them continue to be in the glam business, some just disappeared, while some took voluntary retirement. Remember Shilpa Shukla who portrayed the role of Bindiya Naik in the film? We hope that everyone remembers her attitude in the film she portrayed and did 100% justice to the character.
Hailing from a theatre background, she is a damn fine actress. After playing the character of Bindiya Naik, with shades of grey, Shilpa remained in the acting line. In fact, her last release, BA Pass, was a critically acclaimed film in which she played the female lead and did a great job.
The actress who’s away from the glamour industry and the limelight these days looks nothing like what she did in Chak De.
She is also known for her bindaas and bold acting skills. However, the actress is away from the limelight for a while now. Shilpa has worked in theatre, TV followed by Hindi films. She began her acting career in the year 2003 with the Pakistani film Khamish Paani and made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Hazaron Khwahishein Aisi.
After all, Shilpa grabbed the eyeballs of the viewers and got a lot of appreciation for her character of Bindiya Naik in Chak De! India. The film eventually became a turning point in her career and she went on to do a few Bollywood films.
She once again caught the attention of the audience for her bold scenes with a much young actor in B.A. Pass and even won several awards for portraying that character.
