Kapil Sharma’s Show Gets 2 Months Extension, Salman Khan Is The Savior This Time

Post the ugly fiasco between then ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil‘ host Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, earlier, the Sony TV slammed Kapil with a one-month deadline to resolve his differences with Sunil Grover and resume the show, nothing was done and the show was continued in the name of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show‘.

Now, all of sudden, two more months were added to the extension, and it seems that TKKS will be continued for some more time as per the sources from the Sony TV insider. And the reason behind this is Salman Khan.

Though Salman has done nothing intentionally, his tight schedule for an upcoming couple of months spared time for Kapil to go with his show. As it is believed that with Salman Khan as the host, a program named ‘Dus Ka Dham’ will be aired instead of Kapil’s show. But, now, Salman is quite preoccupied with promoting his movie Tubelight and shooting his ‘Tiger Zinda Hain’ and these tasks resulted in the additional extension to Kapil.

On the other hand, it is heard that Kapil’s show has garnered a rise in TRP with the Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s in the recent episode.

When asked about the show’s performance, an insider from the channel has said:

“Last week’s TRPs went up to nearly 4 million impressions from 3.4 million the week before. As its peak, the show garnered an average six million impressions. The recent Arjun Kapoor- Shraddha Kapoor episode evoked a positive response. We will have to wait and watch for at least a fortnight if the upward trend continues. We can’t write Kapil’s show off just yet.”

But, to fulfill the void that was left by Sunil Grover, it appears that Sony TV and Kapil must approach him to bring back the charm the show has lost these days.
