‘PK’ director Mr. Hirani was met with a bike accident late Monday night, when he was riding a new Royal Enfield Bullet owned by one of his employees. He suddenly failed to manage the weight and fell on the ground. He hurt a fractured jaw and a gash on the chin and instantly taken to Lilavati Hospital. A surgery is took place on Tuesday morning (August 11).

“He fell off from a bike. Currently he is in the intensive care unit,” Dr Jalil Parkar, attached with Lilavati Hospital, said. According to Parkar, he is stable and has no serious injuries.

The accident happened when ‘Munnabhai series’, 3 Idiot director and his team were working in their studio at Pali Hill, Bandra. Hirani was trying to ride friend’s new bike Royal Enfield Bullet when it skidded leaving him injured.

Aamir Khan, the star of Rajkumar Hirani’s blockbuster films ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’, on Tuesday (August 11) visited Rajkumar Hirani at a hospital here and said a health bulletin on Twitter saying the 52-year-old filmmaker will be discharged later today.

For all those concerned about Raju Hirani, I have just met him in hospital. He is doing fine, and will be discharged this evening.

Rajkumar Hirani’s last film was the blockbuster PK, starring Aamir and Anushka Sharma, which released last year. He also made 3 Idiots and the Munna Bhai films, all hugely successful.

Currently Rajkumar Hirani is prepping for a biopic on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. If rumours are anywhere to be true, the lead actor to play Sanjay Dutt’s character in the biopic may be Barfi actor Ranbir Kapoor. However, no one has yet confirmed the news.
