Ranveer Singh Comments On Mahira Khan- Ranbir Kapoor Smoking Controversy! Praises Mahira
It has been almost a month now. Pakistani based actress Mahira Khan has established herself very well in Bollywood with the grand debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s debut film “Raees”. But, along with stardom, she didn’t stop falling prey to the social media, especially when coming to the personal life.
Recently, Mahira was seen along with Ranbir Kapoor in New York City. And, to everyone’s she is seen smoking along with Ranbir. Well, that is her personal choice, but, what all has become the news is she smoking in public, and short-clothes is an add-on to take the dig.
The pictures soon went viral on social media after they were published in some prominent news site. Netizens went questioning Mahira’s decency with the clothes she wore and smoking, on the top of everything. Despite the public’s outrage, the whole Bollywood fraternity has come forward supporting the star. Starting from Ranbir Kapoor, prominent actors like Rishi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Ali Zafar backed her.
However, soon after that, the actress has opened up about the incident, said, “I am a very caring person otherwise. People ask me that I do not do this in films (probably she meant smoking), I say I do not want to. Why should I do anything to show the world?”
“It is my personal life and it is very normal for a boy and girl to hang out. Nowadays, media is not only present at events but everywhere. So, I have learned from it,” added the “Raees” actress. Now after a long time, another actor Ranveer Singh has come forward stating his opinion on the same.
He was all on praises for her. This Padmavati actor said, “I can only speak about my own experience. There are times when I’m at a certain place with certain people and I don’t want those private moments to be captured by anyone. But, you can’t help it.”
Ranveer added, “You got to take the bad with the good. I get to do what I love to do and I make a lot of money. But some things are irritating and you’ve got to take them in your stride. It’s a crazy world.”
“Everyone has their own interpretation. Everyone has their own set of values. Everyone has an opinion. You can hear them but you needn’t subscribe to them. At the end of the day, one should just live and let live and focus on more important things. Mahira is a great performer and an entertainer. One should ideally just engage with her at just that level,” he concluded.
