Rishi Kapoor’s ‘Waiting For The Sourav Ganguly Shirtless Act’ Tweet Backfires, Gets Brutally Trolled On Twitter

Just to jog your memory a little, in 2002, Team India fought Natwest series against England and the visiting team won the Natwest series. That time India Captain Sourav Ganguly was excited and thrilled that he actually took off his shirt to celebrate.

In the same way, Indian women’s cricket team also went to England for the ICC Women’s World Cup and made it to the finals to play against the hosts. As Mithali Raj & co are playing against England in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup, zillions of wishes poured in support. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to MS Dhoni and others wished the squad best wishes and some even got a little carried away in excitement.

One among them who carried away was Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor. While some of his tweets make sense, some just act like the perfect fuel for controversies. His tweets won’t go down well with many and gets trolled in return. In one word, many say his middle name should be ‘Controversies’.

Rishi Kapoor tweeted about his desire to see Sourav Ganguly repeating the history but some other history repeated itself. Yes, the history of Rishi Kapoor being trolled.

“Waiting for a repeat of Sourav Ganguly’s act on the balcony of The Lords Ground, London, when India beat England 2002 NatWest series final! YO,” Kapoor tweeted along with a shirtless picture of Dada.

Soon, Twitterati started slamming him for the tweet that seems to offend them.

He even wrote a second tweet saying he “didn’t say any female player should” repeat Ganguly’s gestures and added people have a “wrong mind”.

Though he argued there is nothing wrong in his tweet, Twitterati ruled otherwise.

Many users criticized him for his choice of picture and suggested he should have used a better picture that was not “offensive” to the women players.
