While related reports claim that contestants VJ Bani and Rahul Dev are the highest paid celebs inside the house this year. While Bani is said to earn Rs 1.5 crore every week, Rahul is rumoured to get Rs 2 crore per week.

Karan Mehra, TV actor of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai fame is getting paid a whopping Rs 1 crore for the show. This will be apart from the prize money that he may win.

As a reality show, how Bigg Boss works is, the longer you survive in the house, the more you get paid every week. The celebrities in the house are given a signing amount for the show. Contestants are also divided among three categories: top level, mid-level and bottom level.

According to media reports, the contestants on Bigg Boss are divided into three levels for the weekly fees. The bottom level contestants get around Rs 3 lakh per week, while the mid- and top-level participants get approximately Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh every week respectively.
