Recently, Akash Ambani proposed his childhood sweetheart Shloka Mehta in a private party amid both the families at a private resort in Goa. While Akash donned a Grey Tshirt White jeans look and complimented it with a blue jacket, Shloka wore a Grey Lace dress which was absolutely pretty. The young heirs then had a celebratory dinner along with their family.

While Shloka Mehta could choose a dress from the best designers all around the globe, she chose to keep it simple and wore a simple antique blue gown which was quite affordable for the Billionaire heir. The gown was from Needle & Thread bridal Pre-Spring collection. This tiered gown was sewn with sequins and delicate lace and the cost of it was £875 (approximately Rs 80,500)

The couple after returning back to Mumbai went straight to Siddhivinayak temple for blessings along with family members. Nita Ambani was with her to-be daughter-in-law and was taking care of her. Nita and Mukesh also hosted a party for the newly engaged couple and invited close friends to the party. Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai along with daughter Aaradhya, Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan marked their presence in the ceremony.

Here’s what Akash’s twin sister, Isha has to say about her to-be bhabhi Shloka Mehta,

“Welcome to the family. But the truth is that Shloka has been a part of our family since as far as I can remember. Diya and I were in school together, and Diya is the first best friend I ever had. And, by relation, Shloka has also been my best friend since…I don’t know, I can’t even remember a time in my life when I didn’t know Shloka.

So in many ways, this is the officializing the fact that we were sisters; born to different mothers. And I am just so happy that I finally get to call her my real sister. And, our family feels complete in a way that it never did before. So, welcome to the family.”

Shloka Mehta graduated from Princeton University in anthropology and pursued her masters in law at London School of Law and Political Science. Akash went to Brown University to study economics. Though there is no confirmation of dates as of now, the formal engagement will be in June and the couple is planning for a December wedding.
