Akshay Kumar much-awaited movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has hit the theaters on August 11th, 2017. The film is termed as a satirical comedy film which is inspired by PM Narendra Modi who started the Swatch Abhiyan to improve sanitation conditions in India. Since the day 1 this movie is been a very interesting topic for the movie lovers.
The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandej together. The movie is released under the banner Friday Filmworks, Plan C studios, Grazing Goat Pictures, Kriarj Entertainments and Abundantia Entertainment.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha needed just a day more than a week to hit the 100 crore mark – which it did on its eight days run at the theatres. In three days, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha recorded Rs. 51 crore and from an opening day collection of Rs. 13.10 crore. Five days later, Akshay’s new film currently stands at Rs. 100.05 crore with Saturday’s contribution of 4 crores, reports trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
As this film is featuring the problem of open defecation in the rural areas of the country which is very important nowadays. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has announced that this film is going to be released tax-free.
