Finally, Shahid Kapoor has been finalized to play the lead character of Ram Charan Teja, who played the lead role in the South blockbuster film ‘Magadheera’, which revolves around a stunt-biker who discovers he was a warrior in love with a princess in his past life. SS Rajamouli’s ‘Magadheera’  created many records for Rajamouli as wel as the hero Ram Charan Tej. It is one of the masterpieces in Tollywood. This film took Rajamouli to the next level and established Ram Charan as a hero in Telugu Film Industry. Bollywood filmmakers have almost stopped writing scripts and are after South movies for the last 4-5 years. After a long gap, ‘Kick’ producer & director Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to remake ‘Magadheera’ in Hindi.

Shahid signed for Magadheera Remake in Bollywood:

Earlier, heroes like Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ranvir Singh and Aamir Khan’s name were under consideration. Most people have thought that Hrithik Roshan will be casting in this film as he was already seen in the film Jodhaa Akbar in which he was seen as Akbar. As per the latest reports, Sajid has signed Shahid Kapoor to reprise the role of Ram Charan. Sajid passed his acid test as a director with ‘Kick’. but South audience felt that the original one was far better than Salman’s film.

It has become a trend of making the films of south into bollywood these days. This trend was started by Salman Khan. His four films have been the remake of Tollywood films which have been good hits for him. Ajay Devgan‘s latest hits Singam and Singam Returns are also the remake for the Suriya‘sYamudu and Singam.

Shahid impressed everyone with his latest movie Haider. This movie has shown him in a very different role and stood as a good hit for him. Recreating a periodic film is a big challenge for any filmmaker and that too after a gap of 5 years. We need to wait and see if Bollywood ‘Magadheera’ can recreate the magic done by Rajamouli and Charan or not.
