‘Sultan’ In Trouble: Bihar Man Files A Case Against ‘Sultan’ Team, Alleges That The Film Is Entirely Based On His Life!

Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ is being praised by everyone and also became the first ever Bollywood film to cross the 200 crore mark in a matter of just seven days of release. But, looks like, the movie team has landed in trouble as a new controversy surrounded the plot of the film.

A man from Muzaffarpur in Bihar has filed a cheating case against Sultan’s team including Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, producer Yash Raj Films and director Ali Abbas for ‘copying’ his real life story. The case was filed by Sabeer Ansari on 8th July at CJM court in Muzaffarpur in Bihar, who claimed that the entire film was based on his life from the beginning to the end.

In his petition, Ansari said that Salman Khan had promised to pay him Rs 20 crore (Rs 200 million), but failed to do so, even after the film was released on July 6. Ansari added that Salman had himself contacted him for the film but later he was informed by the production house that the film had been shelved.

Now that the film was made and released, Ansari said that he felt cheated as the film based on his life was released even without paying the royalty money and that’s when he decided to take a step against the whole team.

A case has been registered against the actor, actress, film director and producer under various sections of IPC, wherein the accused persons have been charged with fraud and breach of trust. The next hearing is scheduled for July 12.
