Malayalam comedy romantic drama ‘Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti’ released today in theaters. Written and directed by debutant Rishi Sivakumar, the film stars Kunchacko Boban and Shamili in the lead roles. Shamili, better known as Baby Shamili, has done many movies as a child artist and played her first female lead role in Telugu movie ‘Oy’ (2009) alongside Siddarth.

The film has Renji Panicker, Manoj K.Jayan, Mia George, Saiju Kurup, Suresh Krishna, and Krishna Shankar in supporting roles. Faisal Latheef is producing the movie under Achappoo Movie Magic banner, while Sooraj S Kurup has composed the music. Set against the backdrop of rural Palakkad, ‘Valleem Thetti Pulleem Thetti’ is woven around Sreedevi Talkies, a countryside cine-house, and the 10-day-long local festival. The story is set in the 1990’s, a period when Kerala was waking up to the waves of globalization.

Director Rishi Sivakumar tries to present the pulse of a remote village and its villagers in complete sense. Shamlee, who has done many movies as a child artist has done her best as a female lead.
