It has been more than 70 years India got independence, but still, it remains on the back foot. Despite it has achieved many milestones in many fields, still it is called a developing country. However, the technology or other fields does not define the development.

No matter what milestone we achieve in other fields, if the basic needs are not fulfilled, we are nowhere near the development. There are many basic requirements which are not yet implemented in India. Every Indian must be entitled to these amenities.

Healthcare remains an unresolved issue to date. Though private healthcare facilities are very good in the country, there are crores of people who can’t afford in those hospitals. Fortis, Max and other 5 star hospitals of course exist but for the major population of India, there is not much on offer in terms of health facilities.

A simple example is an Ambulance which is a basic need and it plays a vital role however the ambulance facility is poor in India. If you compare the state of ambulances in India with those abroad, there is a vast difference in development in India.

It even seems a big joke but also makes you concerned. Let us discuss the comparison of Indian Ambulances with the other countries ambulances.

1. Unregistered Ambulances:

In India, there are a number of ambulances which are noticed as unregistered and illegal. It is almost impossible to count the number. Besides, these ambulances charge extra money for their services. Whereas, in foreign countries, the registration of ambulances is taken care strictly.

2. Basic Facilities:

Facilities such as Oxygen cylinder and space for a doctor in the vehicle are required. However, lack of space is one of the major flaws in the Indian ambulances. The Indian ambulance face the space issues as the vehicles used for the ambulance is Maruti Omni or another small vehicle.

But in foreign countries, the safety measures are followed strictly. Healthcare is one of the top priorities abroad, unlike Indian Ambulances.

3. Good and Comfortable Beds:

Firstly, people who all get into ambulances are patients. They need proper beds as they are in immense pain. Thus, he/she should feel comfortable inside the vehicle. The government should invest high in the healthcare facilities. In foreign country ambulances, you won’t find such discomfort.

4. Arrival or Response Time:

No doubt, the ambulance is technically the life savior. You might have seen many times as the Indian Ambulances take a long time, in fact, no time limit to reach the spot. Whereas in foreign countries, the ambulance takes only 5-10 minutes and provide first aid.
