The Board of Secondary Education, Assam commonly known as SEBA is the state level authority for conducting examinations and providing assurance for the quality of education imparted in schools within Assam, India that are affiliated to it. High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) is the award given through the authority of this board to students who have passed the HSLC examination successfully.

Assam SEBA HSLC Toppers List/ Pass Percentage 2016:
According to news reports, this year’s pass percentage is 62.79 per cent. Sarfaraz Hussain of Sankardev Sishu Niketan, Guwahati has topped the exam by scoring 590 marks.

In 2015, about 3.8 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exam out of which 51,046 secured the first division while the overall pass percentage was recorded as 62.20%. A boy from Barpeta district, scored 98%, which was the highest percentage scored in HSLC exam 2015.
