SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus project Baahubali- The Conclusion is rewriting and creating the box office collections records in India’s leading film industries Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood and Mollywood.

Undoubtedly, Baahubali 2 is on a roll and it’s in no mood to slow down anytime soon and it is likely to create Rs 1500-cr club this week. Yes, Baahubali fever is at its peak and considering the speed with which it is going high and high, it doesn’t seem to end soon.

There were days when people used to believe that Rs 500 crores are a number only Bollywood can reach. Two years back, SS Rajamouli‘s Baahubali-The Beginning proved it wrong, the movie has broken every possible record garnering fame and dignity to the Indian cinema.

The first part has earned critical reception and amusing box office collections hitting more than Rs 600 crores and surprisingly, the sequel has reached this mark within the first four days.

 

Starting as a regional movie, this movie’s excellence has prevailed across the whole country, like a wildfire. Now, the sequel is on, and people got their answers for the intriguing questions like  ‘Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?’ (WKKB), it must be said that Rajamouli doubled the satisfaction of the people by getting hold of the curiosity.

Coming to the box office details, Baahubali 2 is breaking new records in terms of box office collection despite being released 19 days ago. According to the latest numbers shared by trade tracker Ramesh Bala, the film has already grossed Rs 1450 crore worldwide at the box office and is likely to create Rs 1500-crore club this week.

After breaking a series of box office records, Baahubali 2 is on its way to start Rs 1500-crore club, reaching an unprecedented milestone. SS Rajamouli’s fantasy epic is on a roll and it’s in no mood to slow down anytime soon.

Coming to the overseas collections, it summed up to Rs 121.69 crores which no Indian movie has ever achieved before in such a short span of time.

Talking about the detailed worldwide collections, Popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Baahubali2 eyes $ 20 mn in NORTH AMERICA [till 14 May 2017]: USA: $ 18,256,999 Canada: $ 742,534 Total: $ 18,999,533 [₹ 121.69 cr].”

These numbers are already far away from the numbers one can even dream of, the sequel is really compared to the first part, the former one collected Rs 22 crores on the first weekend, which is nothing compared to this.

The sequel has already crossed all the Hindi lifetime collections with 400 crores and the movie created a new benchmark in Indian cinema. Movies like PK and Dangal achieved 300 crores, but this SS Rajamouli movie is the first one to get a whopping 400 crores.

Can any of the new releases stop Baahubali 2’s success march? It seems “No” for now as this record breaking reports and love from the people seems never end soon.

Meanwhile, media reports have suggested that SS Rajamouli is considering making the third part of this hugely successful franchise, Baahubali 3.

This has made us super-happy; if the 3rd part is made, it will surely be a super-hit. We are eagerly waiting for an official confirmation of the same.
