Gautam Gambhir Posts An Inspirational Video For Indian Soldiers As Part Of ‘Jhijhak Ki Patti’ Campaign [WATCH VIDEO]

Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is known as one of the most outspoken celebrities when it comes to Indian Army. Gambhir has always stood in support of our Indian soldiers. We had seen him reacting to everything related to Indian Army. He has a soft corner for the jawans and cannot see anything bad happening to them.

Do you remember how he lashed out on Twitter when CRPF jawans were attacked in Kashmir? He recently donated his entire IPL prize money to CRPF’s Sukma attack victims. And now Gautam Gambhir has once again called on the nation to come out and support the Indian army. The cricketer has always respected the soldiers and so, he wants other Indians to do the same.

Many times, civilians come across soldiers but hesitate to say a “Thank You”. Don’t our jawans deserve to be thanked for protecting our nation by putting their lives at risk?

To give the due honor to Indian soldiers, the left-handed batsman has launched an innovative campaign, asking people to take selfies with Indian soldiers. In the video, Gambhir has asked people to greet Indian soldiers whenever they come across them.

In association with Fever FM, Gambhir has also put a clear message that civilians should keep aside their ‘jhijhak’ (apprehensions) when they come across a soldier. He requested people should shake the army personnel’s hands, say thank you and if possible take selfies with them.

Using placards and a tape on his mouth, Gambhir goes from one card after another to first pose question of whether people love and respect the soldiers. He further questions why people don’t get up to thank them for their service.

This is the least we can do for them, right.

Prior to this, Gambhir had then tweeted, “For every slap on my army’s Jawan lay down at least a 100 jihadi lives. Whoever wants Azadi LEAVE NOW! Kashmir is ours,” and “Anti-Indians have forgotten that our flag also stands 4: saffron – fire of our anger, white – shroud for jihadis, green – hatred 4 terror.”

This time, the tweet simply said, “I have stepped out of my crease. Will you?” with the hashtag of #BharatPositive while tagging the Prime Minister’s Office, Major Gaurav Arya, Fever FM channel and Narendra Modi.

We also saw Gambhir had announced during the IPL 10 that his foundation will “take care of the entire educational expenses” of the children of Indian soldiers martyred in the Sukma Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh.

Gambhir has come forward to express his love and gratitude for Indian defense forces, but it remains to be seen how much of a response his latest campaign gets from the general public.
