NIA Conduct Raids In Hyderabad, 11 Men Detained Over Suspected Islamic State Links

Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 10 different locations in the city on Wednesday morning, following a tip-off about suspicious terror-related activities.

The raid was conducted in order to bust, if any, terror module operating in the city, which turned out to be a successful one. The search for more such terror modules is still on.

At least eleven alleged ISIS agents have been detained by the NIA sleuths. They are being interrogated for more leads at the moment. Weapons, explosives and a large amount of cash have been recovered by the agency.

“The searches are still going on.  NIA has detained 11 people for suspected terror links and has recovered weapons, explosive material and huge cash,” reported ANI.

According to reports, a full-fledged ISIS terror module has been busted following the raids by the NIA officials at the old quarters of the IT-city. Reports state that the busted module was involved in recruiting youths for the Syria-based terror outfit Islamic State.
