Om Namo Venkatesaya is a devotional and biographical film, which has been written by K Raghavendra Rao. The movie is based on the life of Hathiram Bhavaji, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. The film traces the life history of saint follower Hathiram Baba, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara Swamy.

Hathiram Baba (Raama played by Nagarjuna) was a devotee of Lord Rama. He will be so excited and determined to meet the God. Raama’s parents will set a marriage with his in-laws daughter. Raama cancels the marriage and visits Tirumala to see Lord Venkateswara Swamy. There he meets Anushka who will be supporting to eliminate the bad things which will happen at Tirupathi. With the help of Anushka, Nagarjuna will be making more devotees for Lord Venkateswara. When he visited Tirumala, he decided to stay there and set up an ashram outside the temple.

Om Namo Venkatesaya Movie Review:

Nagarjuna as Hathiram Bhavaji has delivered superb performance, which is the highlight of Om Namo Venkatesaya. Nagarjuna transforms himself into the simple and sober look. He plays the picture perfect devotee role. Anushka Shetty and Pragya Jaiswal have done justice to their roles. The director has weaved an interesting screenplay, which is engaging and entertaining. Jagapatibabu appears in a surprise special role.

Devotional Songs in Om Namo Venkatesaya attracts the audience. Saurabh Raj Jain has played Lord Venkateswara and his acting is another highlight of the film. K.Raghavendra Rao deserves an applause for sticking to the core story, no cheap comedy threads. He explains the significance of Swami vari sesha vasthram, Agni teerdham and Nitya Kalyanam etc rituals easily understandable for the present generation. Production values are good. Om Namo Venkatesaya is emotionally not on par with Annamayya, but a must watch for devotees and a decent watch for all.
