Hyderabad: “A private travels bus going from Hyderabad to Chennai is completely burnt when it hit a container at a high speed near Ulavapadu in Prakasham district today around 5:50 AM,” said Lakshman, Sub-Inspector of police.

According to the reports, thirty passengers have suffered minor injuries when a bus belonging to Orange Travels caught fire after it hit a lorry near Veerepalli in Ulavapadu Mandal in Prakasam district.The bus was on its way to Chennai from Hyderabad when the mishap took place today in the early morning. Injured passengers were admitted to a nearby government hospital.

“Panic-stricken passengers woke up as the fire engulfed the bus after it hit the container from behind at around 5am and they jumped out before it was too late. The sleeper coach bus belongs to Orange Travels and it was the rashness of the driver that caused the accident,” said by a passenger on the bus. The bus was moving between 120-130kmph at the time of the accident, according to eye witnesses.

The bus is completely melted in the fire. The container fell off the highway road after being hit. However, no serious damage was caused.
