Hyderabad District Badminton Association president Chamundeshwarnath presented the BMW cars for the silver medallist shuttler P V Sindhu and bronze winner grappler Sakshi Malik along with gymnast Dipa Karmakar and badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, for their extraordinary achievement in the recently concluded Olympic Games in Rio Olympics 2016.

The keys were given by the Cricket legend SachinTendulkar who was the Goodwill Ambassador of the Indian team at Rio Olympics on Sunday at Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.

P V Sindhu is the first Indian woman sportsperson to win a silver in the Olympics in her first maiden under the guidance of chief coach Gopichand. Sakshi Malik won the bronze in women’s freestyle 58kg class. Sakshi said to Sachin Tendulkar that “my brother is a huge fan of yours, please do allow us a family picture with you”.

Also, Dipa who missed a medal by a whisker, had finished fourth in the vault event and stunned the world by attempting the risky Produnova vault gifted with the luxurious car.
