It is no doubt that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is the only ‘Bhai’ of B-Town. But, things may get awkward if someone addresses him differently. Something similar had apparently happened with Varun Dhawan and Salman Khan.

Salman Khan is extremely fond of Varun Dhawan. That’s no mystery to anyone. The superstar has always showered praises on the young actor, who in turn respects him a lot. But did you know that Salman once wanted to slap Varun?

Yes, Varun in his recent media interaction revealed when Salman actually warned him that he will slap him.

Recently, Varun has stepped into Salman’s shoes for ‘Judwaa 2’ film, which is a sequel to Salman’s much loved commercial blockbuster Judwaa. Varun has started shooting for the film and he even interacted with the media on the sets.

At a press conference, Varun Dhawan recalled his first ever interaction with Salman Khan, which stayed in his mind. While we expected a simple answer but what Varun shared was something more interesting.

Varun Dhawan says Salman Khan got upset with him when he addressed him as uncle during a trial show of the 1997 blockbuster Judwaa.

Varun, who was just seven-years-old during the making of the film, said the Sultan star asked him to say ‘Salman Bhai’ instead of uncle.

“I went for trial (show of Judwaa) and I called him Salman uncle he got very upset. He told me ‘I will slap you if you call me that, call me Salman bhai. I don’t care if you are David Dhawan’s son I won’t allow you inside theatre if you call me uncle,’” Varun said.

Before Varun started shooting for the reboot of the film directed by his father David Dhawan, he did speak to Salman, and Dhawan said he does not want to disappoint Salman Khan.

“We all have spoken to him it’s a personal thing. His blessings are always there. I don’t want to disappoint him (Salman), them (Sajid Khan and David Dhawan) and the audience.”

Well, Varun and Salman have an age gap of 22 years. But like we all know, Salman is the universal Bhai for everyone!
