Here is a good news to all Sachin fans. Former Indian cricketer who is treated as the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar is all set to make his acting debut in Bollywood in his own biopic. Though Sachin acted in a number of advertisements, this is the first time he will be seen from beginning till the end in a feature film. Tendulkar after his retirement released his autobiography called “Playing it my Way”, which talked about his cricketing career, both on and off the field.

The highlight and the special attraction in the film is that Sachin Tendulkar himself is going to feature in his role. Earlier there had been many biopics, but no one acted in their own character. This year 2016, we are going to see two biopics of Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni. Coming to the movie details, the movie will show everything about Sachin Tendulkar from his childhood till his retirement.

A London-based award-winning writer, director, and producer James Erskine has been roped into directing the movie. He has also directed a cricket film, ‘From the Ashes’. A Mumbai-based production company named a working title of the film as ‘200 not out’ is going to produce this movie from World Sports Group (WSG).

Ravi Bhagchandka, the founder of 200 Not Out, said, “We decided to work with Erskine after studying his many incredible films involving sports personalities. This will be the first time that he will be working in this part of the world. We will work with the best in the business for the film to be a fitting tribute to the unparalleled achievements of Sachin Tendulkar.”

“Someone had to capture these memories for the generations to come who will want to know what the Tendulkar-era was like,” he added. The movie is set to be released in over 2000 theaters worldwide. The makers of the movie did not want to make a documentary or a biopic on the cricketer’s life, it is learned, and opted for a feature film after the former cricketer himself gave the go-ahead to the project and agreed to be part of it.
