A Village and Forest Rangers Came Out To Save This Baby: It’s An Elephant

A six-year-old baby elephant, Separated from its family and trapped in a well in Kerala’s Ernakulam district found herself in a fix yesterday. Local people and the forest department launched a major operation to save the elephant. The distressed elephant was located part-submerged in a muddy hole. Mammal had become separated from its mother after falling into the well . Locals carved a makeshift slope and used ropes to set elephant free.

According to the reports a six-year-old elephant has fallen into the well in Ernakulam, Kerala. Local villagers and the forest rangers with an earthmover, efforts went on for five hours to save the elephant. Flexibility as ever, even after the hours-long ordeal, the elephant met her rescuers half-way and with her trunk, helped clear the earth in front of the 15-feet-deep pit.

After the long struggle, elephant climbed out of the well and moved into the jungle. Forest officials tracked the elephant and made sure that the she was reunited with its family.
