The video was made by Indian awareness organisation Make Love Not Scars and titled “How To Get Perfect Red Lips”. The video has racked up more than 814,910 views.

In the video first she advises removing dead skin by brushing the lips with a toothbrush, then applying lip balm, before lip liner and finally lipstick.

India sees approximately 1,000 acid attacks each year, which is claimed to be a low estimate because many victims are too humiliated to report it. Reshma lost an eye and suffered facial disfigurement when was allegedly attacked by her brother-in-law on the way to school in 2014.
