With Reliance Jio extending its Welcome Offer to New Year Offer until March 2017, it appears there will be no end to offers from telecom operators. After BSNL launching Happy New Year Offer with Unlimited Local And STD Calls At Just Rs. 144, it’s time for Airtel to counter Reliance Jio and BSNL with amazing offers.

Airtel has announced a special offer today under which it will be offering free data (worth Rs 9,000) for 12 months to customers who switch to Airtel 4G. The 12 months offer is available to any customer with a 4G mobile handset, and who is currently not on the Airtel network.

Any customer, including existing Airtel customers, upgrading to a new 4G handset can also avail this offer. The offer will be available to customers across India starting January 4 and will close on February 28, 2017. Under this offer, selected customers with prepaid and postpaid connections will get free 3GB data every month till December 31, 2017, with the benefits over and above the pack/plan benefits.

To avail the offer, any customer with a 4G mobile handset that is not on Airtel network will have to switch to Airtel 4G connection to enjoy the free data.

Free 3GB Airtel Mobile Data for Prepaid Users:

Airtel says prepaid subscribers will get 3GB of free data with every Rs. 345 unlimited calling recharge, which offers free local and STD calls to any network in India as well as 1GB of data per monthly cycle. Airtel specifies that the pack benefits will be valid for 28 days and can be availed for a maximum of 13 data recharges till December 31, 2017.

Free 3GB Airtel Mobile Data for Postpaid Users:

For postpaid users, Airtel’s 3GB of free data per month offer can be availed if subscribers opt for any MyPlan Infinity plan, which includes local/ STD/ roaming calling benefits, bundled data, some free SMS, as well as free subscription to Wynk Music and Wynk Movies. Postpaid Airtel customers can claim the free mobile data through MyAirtel App.

Airtel specifies that the pack prices may vary from circle to circle, and customers can only avail the 3GB data per month offer only within the first 30 days of purchasing or upgrading to a new 4G handset.

Bharti Airtel Statement:

“Customers will get free 3GB data every month till December 31, 2017 with select prepaid and postpaid packs under this offer. This free data benefit will be over and above the pack or plan benefits,” Bharti Airtel said in a statement.

“The 12 months offer is available to any customer with a 4G mobile handset that is currently not on the Airtel network. Any customer, including existing Airtel customers, upgrading to a new 4G handset can also avail this offer,” the statement said.

“We are inviting customers to experience 4G through the year on India’s fastest network. We are seeing increasing penetration of 4G handsets across the country and believe that this attractive offer will provide an opportunity to more and more customers to enjoy high-speed broadband on their devices with Airtel,” Bharti Airtel Director – Market Operations Ajai Puri said.

This offer will be available to customers across India starting tomorrow and will close on February 28, 2017.
