The idea of auctioning the uniform came to the public after Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce the same. The bidding is for raising money for an NGO Janice’s Trust which works for animal rescue. Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna also shared the news on all her social media.

However, even as most of the social media users hailed the move, a section of netizens was not very happy with the move.
