Balakrishna Reacts On His Vulgar Comments On Women In AP Assembly

TDP Hindupur MLA Balakrishna reacted on his Controversial Comments on Women In AP Assembly Budget Session Period. At an audio release function of Nara Rohit’s upcoming film Savitri, Mr Balakrishna said his fans won’t accept if he simply chased women. “I must either kiss or get them pregnant,” he said, as women on stage appeared visibly uncomfortable.

The comment has provoked angry reactions from YSR Congress leader Roja and several others. On Monday, Balayya apologized to those who may have been hurt by his comments and reiterated that he paved red carpet for women in his films like no other stars did.

He said, he had only articulated what he thought were expectations of fans and had not meant to humiliate any woman.

Balakrishna said he treated every woman as a family member, and invoked his father, former chief minister and patriarch N.T. Rama Rao.

“I have utmost respect towards women. The comments which I made were not to target anyone. Recollecting my previous movies, I made the comments. I extend my greetings to all women from the Telugu states and across the country on Women’s Day,” he said in an official release.
