16 Year Old Stabbed To Death By His Friends In An Argument Over A Metro Seat In Delhi

Five teenagers were on Thursday arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing to death a 16-year-old boy after a heated argument over a seat in the Metro train at north Delhi’s Kingsway Camp area. The incident took place at around 1 pm on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Ishu, who lived with his family in Burari in a north Delhi.

The juveniles, aged between 16 and 17 years, allegedly held a grudge against Ishu over a fight which had taken place the previous day in connection with a seat in the Metro. The two groups, belonging to different government schools, started shouting at each other and one of the teenagers allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ishu multiple times.

They run away from the place when Ishu collapsed. Locals called up the police and Ishu was taken to a hospital where he was admitted in a critical condition. The police had registered a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC.

Ishu died at around midnight on Wednesday. Police changed the case into a murder charge. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered. The accused were produced before a juvenile board and sent to a reform home.
