BSNL Upgrade Minimum Broadband Speed From 512Kbps To 2Mbps For Free

The leading telecom service Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited-BSNL has launched a new offer for the users of BSNL landline subscribers. On Monday, the telecom service providers have announced an upgradation policy of current landline broadband speed from 512Kbps To 2Mbps. This offer is applied for only the BSNL landline subscribers and there is no any additional cost which is going to be implemented from October 1st.

The Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the new offer on Monday in Gurgaon. As there is a lot of competition between the telecom service providers, BSNL is losing its customers and the users are finding more benefits in other providers. Thus, BSNL had come with a surprising offer to its customers which would increase the revenue of BSNL in Pan India.

The company lost about 1.78 crore wireless and over 20 lakh wire line subscribers between March 2014 and March 2015 and the loss that the company bearing was Rs: 7,600 crore. Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that “BSNL should have frequent interface with customers and the efforts taken today by increasing the internet definition should help in digital India initiative, which is more for poor.”   BSNL offering for the benefits of customers in continuation to offer free night calling from BSNL landline to all operator network from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM and free incoming roaming services for its mobile customers.

The speed up-gradation will benefit all the existing and new Broadband customers of BSNL. With this upgradation, BSNL customers can access / surf the internet at high speed. BSNL is the first service provider to provide the Broadband Access over its landline in India in 2005 with speed of 256kbps. BSNL since then is constantly working for increasing the broadband speed for the enhanced experience of customer in urban as well as rural areas as envisaged in New Telecom Policy 2012.

As the other service providers are introducing many offers regarding broadband, even BSNL has come with new offer on upgrading the broadband limit.
