China To Launch Its First Experimental Quantum Communication Satellite In July

China is all set to launch its first experimental Quantum Communication Satellite in July. Scientists have taken five long years to develop their first Quantum Satellite. The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) said the communications cannot be intercepted with this satellite. It is impossible to wiretap, intercept or crack the information transmitted through it.

CAS said that this satellite will be transported to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in June. If this goes well, it will become the first Quantum Communication through a satellite in the world. China is the first country to put out a detailed timeline on the usage and implementation of Quantum technology after the acceleration of development in Quantum Physics in last five year.

China launches first Quantum Satellite

According to the scientists, ‘Quantum communication boasts ultra-high security as a quantum photon which can be neither separated nor be duplicated.’ The CAS’s project includes the launch of a satellite, building four ground stations for quantum communication and one space quantum teleportation experiment station.

After completing, the satellite will be able to establish quantum optical links simultaneously with two ground bases. This implementation could make China the power in Quantum Communications worldwide.
