Dangal Movie Silly Mistakes:

#1. Geeta’s Haircut Right Before The CWG 2010:

It’s shown in the movie that a Geeta Phogat who lost all her international matches in a continuation, cuts her hair to a very short length right before the Delhi Commonwealth Games took off. But, Geeta Phogat’s real fight in her 2010 Delhi Games final wrestling she is carrying a pony. Although a short one, but not as short as the one Fatima Sana Shaikh was seen having in the movie. This seems to be done deliberately to highlight the emotion and dramatize the scene.

#2. Geeta CWG 2010 Final Fight:

The film portrays the match at an important point of the film and it imbues you with feelings of patriotism.

In Real:

In the same match when Geeta wins a Gold medal in what we can call as a very beautifully dramatized ending, there was something very wrong that happened. The match ended in just two sets with Geeta winning the game in a very dominant way beating her rival: 1-0, 7-0.

In Reel:

Unlike this real match, the film showed the reel game with scores 3-0, 4-6 & 6-5. That was obviously done to infuse twist and turns in the match and keep the audience on their toes. The scene is very well dramatized in the movie. The director succeeded in engaging the audience in this scene followed by National Anthem. However there are some mixed responses for playing National Anthem twice, there is a majority who stood up with pride.

#3. Aamir Khan’s Financial Position:

In the movie, Aamir Khan quits his job, left with little money and still managed to afford all the ticket’s price of a cinema hall. When Aamir Khan was banned from entering in the academy to train her daughter, he used to give her advice through phone by watching her previously fought videos. He used to watch these video on a big screen by buying up the entire tickets of a B-GRADE Cinema Hall. How he manages to afford after quitting his job and even hailing from a poor family background. The scene shows the commitment of the father towards wrestling in this movie.

#4. No Importance Was Given To Geeta Phogat’s Ears:

Aamir Khan’s ears in this movie were sharply blended and matched to that of a professional wrestler’s, but Fatima’s ears were neglected. Professional wrestler’s ears are usually slightly deformed in shape due to their excessive and rigorous fights.

#5. Geeta Struggling To Find Her Father In Finals:

It was shown in the movie that Geeta was struggling to find her father, Mahavir Singh Phogat in the audience right after having won the Gold. But, in real she was obviously very happy (Watch Video) after winning the match and there was no sign of tension on her face at that point in time.

Note: We are in no way hampering the image of DANGAL movie through this post. We truly respect the creativity of the Director and the Writer of this movie.
