Yuvraj Singh’s Price Was a Result of Market Competition: Hemant Dua

Recent statements of the Delhi Daredevils is sparking new speculations and arguments. Hemant Dua, CEO of Delhi Daredevils (DD) said yesterday that Yuvraj’s price was a result of the  market competition, and that Rs.16 crore was not a part of the plan. He further stated that “I think we talk about Rs.14-16 crore but that’s all a market-place. As Yuvraj had rightly said (in Vizag) that he never asked for that price. It was a market-place.”

After the bidding and being bought by Delhi Daredevils, Yuvraj Singh has been centered amid the Pepsi IPL 2015 season 8 correlating his performance with his bid price of the tournament. Mr. Dua claimed that Yuvraj Singh could have been bought for less, but the final price was eventually market-determined. DD CEO Mr. Dua further added “Would we have liked it to be Rs.16 crores? No, as a franchise, I would want it to be as less as possible, right. But there is an opposition [rival franchises], which is there and they want the price to go up. So as I said, it was market determined.” Although as far as now Yuvaraj Singh hasn’t ascended with an entertaining performance so far in the current Pepsi IPL 2015 session where he scored only 205 runs at a paltry average of 18.63 playing 12 games against various other teams and franchises of the mega Indian T20 tournament.
