Bollywood dream girl, veteran actress supported superstar Shah Rukh Khan claiming no specific reason behind the outrage of the people who are targeting him unnecessarily.

The most admired Hindi films actress of her times, Hema Malini said, “Shah Rukh has not said he is going to return the award or anything. I feel he has been targeted (“nishana bana rahe hai”). I feel personally that it is not right” expressing her views over the controversy at an event in Mumbai on Friday.

She further added, “He is an actor from our country, he has brought good name to the country, he has been liked by millions of people all over the world. We are proud of him.” What adds more prominence to the backing of Hema Malini is that despite being a Bharatiya Janta Party  (BJP) Loksabha Member her views are contradicting her fellow party mates opinions.

Since the time of Shah Rukh Khan’s remarks over the rising the intolerance in the nation in an official interview on the eve of his 50th birthday, the actor has been slammed by the BJP political leaders that he should return back to Pakistan if he is willing to live in peace. The remarks of both the actor and the BJP political leaders are added more fuel to the existing #awardwapsi and intolerance issue in the nation which have been trembling the political atmosphere and people’s lives.
