Earthquake of magnitude 7.9 on Richter scale struck parts of North and Northeast India and Nepal. In Delhi and parts of the National Capital Region, people were seen running out of their houses after buildings shook for well over a minute. Around noon, in Delhi, I had not realized how serious the quake was. But then the reports poured in. While looking for more real time information on the earthquake, we found this video (courtesy Kishor Rana) where the uploader posted a 0:52 minute video of the first tremors captured through the security camera in his house in Kathmandu. There are more than 1800 people who found dead in Nepal due to this Earth Quake.

It was big shock for the people, Delhi Metro services were briefly suspended after the quake. People were seen rushing out of their homes and offices and stood on the roads for their safty. In India, tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim. In Nepal there was lot distruction happened, Mobile phone services affected.

Not only in Delhi Tremors were also felt in Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh and other cities. Major Earth quake was in Nepal where there was large destruction happen. In Delhi no one got hurt due to this earthquake.
