Rakhi Sawant has managed to make news yet again and this time it involves a dress she wore. Earlier this year, Rakhi Sawant was seen wearing a dress with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that has now landed the starlet in trouble.

Rakhi Sawant’s Narendra Modi dress lands her in trouble

An FIR has been lodged against her at the Kankroli police station for “allegedly indulging in obscenity and defaming the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

“On the basis of the photos circulated on social media, a local advocate Prajeet Tiwari had lodged the complaint on this last thursday,” SHO Kankroli police station Laxman Ram said.

Also, Tiwari said in his complaint that,

“ Not only she wore it, but going a step ahead she posted her pictures on the social media which amounts to causing disgrace and humiliation of the prime minister. She did this intentionally because she was denied the Lok Sabha ticket from Mumbai”

The lawyer also claimed that Rakhi’s move has shamed Modi and the BJP not only in the country but internationally and hence she should be punished.

The FIR was registered under several sections of IPC and relevant sections of Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. The matter is being investigated, he added.

Sawant wore this black dress emblazoned with Modi’s pictures in August at a function in a pre-Independence Day party in Chicago, USA.
