Glenn Maxwell Engages In Twitter Banter With Indian Cricket Fans During India vs New Zealand Match

Team India lost the opening match of ICC T20 World Cup 2016 against New Zealand. Indian batsmen had given off the match when their fight against Spin bowlers failed. Though team India bowled really well, batsmen couldn’t do the same for the team. Hence, New Zealand continued their winning streak against India in T20Is. New Zealand won by 47 runs.

India lost match

MS Dhoni stayed on but there was quite little he could do, due to no support from others. The time came to the viewers to criticize the pitch and the Indian players. There was a lot of criticism regarding the pitch in Nagpur when South Africa had toured India.

Australian batsmen Glenn Maxwell had engaged in this regard on Twitter. Glenn Maxwell had gone on to the extent of calling it “diabolical.” He engaged in trolling the Indian team for losing in such favorable conditions.

However, this didn’t go down quite well with some Indian fans. Some Indian fan even went to the extent of abusing Maxwell over his comments.

Though the tweets were in Hindi, Maxwell answered him in his own way with a slight troll as well.

By the end of the match, he signed off by thanking the fans for the banter and also looked forward to their first game in Dharamshala against Kiwis.
