Government action towards air pollution halts civil construction activities in Delhi till June 17

In Delhi, the air quality still the same it did not change beyond the harsh level for the third day on Thursday and the authorities gave notice that dusty conditions were likely to abound for next 3-4 days and he also suggested people to avoid staying outdoors for long hours. until Sunday, there will not hold any of the construction activities as these kinds of activities were banned by Delhi’s lieutenant governor Anil Baijal this is just because of air pollution, it is getting high and survival will get more difficult in the capital of India.
Poisonous air is being carried to Delhi by dust-laden winds blowing in from neighboring states and the most of the other areas of northern India were also capped by haze, the mountain state of Himachal is also included in this. Because of the extream level of dust pollution being carried by the capital results in the cancelation of approximately 13 departing flight from Delhi airport and 11 Delhi-bound flights, this made authorities to warn people not to stay outside for long hours. Because of heavy dust pollution in the city, Anil Baijal managed municipal corporations and government agencies to control dust, measures at construction sites, carry out water scattering and automate sweeping of roads and avoid open garbage burning to prevent dust pollution.
According to a reported capital of India is not only the city in northwest India that is carried such high level of pollution but the parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are also covered by haze. On Thursday it was seen that dust particles are reaching to some parts of Bihar as well. “Pollution in many cities and towns including Greater Noida, Gurugram, Jodhpur, Khanna, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Moradabad, Panchkula, and Rupnagar were found to be severe,” said a CPCB official. The Supreme Court selected panel Environment Pollution Authority on Wednesday to start water sprinkling in the capital of India.

A Sudhakar, member-secretary of the Central Pollution Control Board said on the dust pollution that “We are expecting some improvement on Friday as the government agencies have been asked to sprinkle water and strictly enforce control measures at construction sites,” even though air pollution improved marginally on Thursday, the city’s 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in the ‘severe’ category for the second consecutive day. The AQI on Thursday was 431 that was 445 points down from the previous day. A reading between 401 and 500 is considered severe.
