Gujarat Woman Threw Half A Dozen Bangles On PM Modi In Vadodara, See What Police Did To Her Later

A woman was detained in Vadodara on Sunday for throwing bangles at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy during his road show in the city. She is a woman activist leading the agitation by Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers on Sunday evening claimed that she was detained after the incident.

The woman was identified as Chandrika Solanki, who is the president of Contract and Fixed Salary Struggles Committee women wing, was leading the protest by Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers when she threw bangles at PM Modi when his car passed VUDA circle.

However, police have denied of any such incident. Chandrika Solanki, president of the women’s wing of the Contract and Fixed Salary Struggles Committee that has been demanding equal rights and equal pay for Asha workers told media persons that she threw bangles on the PM’s cavalcade.

She claimed that she was detained by the cops and released only after the PM reached the airport terminal in his convoy.

“We had gone on hunger strike but the government is insensitive towards our condition and had gone on hunger strike. So, I had thrown bangles on the PM as the mark of protest. It was after I threw half a dozen bangles for the second time that the cops detained me,” Solanki claimed.

The Asha workers have been demanding identity cards, fix working hours and maternity leaves and the benefits that permanent government employees are provided. Asha worker in the recent past had approached several BJP leaders including MLAs and MP.

According to the Sources, they said that around 250 Asha workers were detained at the Vadodara district till the time PM’s program at Navlakhi ground ended.
