Haryana’s sensation ‘Gurmeet Ram Rahim’ arrest has alarmed the whole North-Indian states from a couple of days, the crowd unleashed a spree of violence soon after the Panchkula’s court verdict went against this self-claimed godman-baba.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim was given a punishment of 20 years jail by CBI court for the rape charges. Post that there were investigations going around regarding the property of Dera Sacha Sauda. Much to everyone’s surprise, the authorities raided Gurmeet’s Dera and discovered so much unauthorized property, the probe is on, many more unknown things about the 700 Acres big Dera.

The authorities have sanitized more than 100 namcharcha ghars or convention halls, associated with the Dera and seized cash, computers and hard disks. A luxurious black car without a number plate and an OB van were also found inside the Dera.

The Dera is the purely social and spiritual life of the Dalits and the backward classes in Punjab, Haryana. It started back in the 1950s and it has millions of tribal, Dalits and BSc communities who cannot afford social and caste divisions.

According to the reports, it is said that he successor governments have extended the helping hand for the construction and development of Dera Sacha Sauda group. A full bench of the Haryana & Punjab High Court asked the Haryana government on Wednesday to investigate deep into the matter.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (I-T) department to probe the allegations of money laundering surrounding the functioning of Dera Sacha Sauda and its assets in Punjab and Haryana said to be worth hundreds of crores of rupees.

In a report that the ML Khattar government submitted to the Haryana and Punjab High Court today, the Dera Sacha Sauda, the controversial sect run by Ram Rahim, has been valued at Rs 1,453 crore. The Haryana government has also estimated that Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s organization owns properties worth around Rs 1,600 crore across the state.

The estimate doesn’t include the Dera properties outside of Haryana.

The actual value of the properties owned by Ram Rahim Singh’s Dera could be much higher as the government estimate has been drawn upon the basis of Haryana’s collector rates. The market value of the Dera properties could be around 1.5 times the figure that the government has arrived at.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court indicated that all losses caused to property could be recovered from Dera Sacha Sauda.
