[WATCH] A Horrific Video Shows Benelli Biker Speeding At 150 KMPH Crashes Into A Pillar In New Delhi

In a horrifying accident in New Delhi, a 24-year-old man died after he lost control of his sports bike and slammed into a wall near the Mandi House metro station in Central Delhi. The victim is identified as Himanshu Bansal. He was killed when his sports bike worth over Rs 5 lakh allegedly crashed into a pillar near Mandi House metro station, three hours prior to Independence Day celebrations.

The accident was however captured by the helmet camera wearing by one of his friends riding behind him. The accident spot was found with the damaged Benelli TNT 600i motorbike, pieces of glass and blood splattered on the road.

Hinmanshu died after crashing his bike in to wall

Himanshu was allegedly racing with his friends, Gazi and Lakshya when all this happened. A senior police officer privy to the investigation said the incident occurred while Himanshu was racing with his friends, Gazi and Lakshay.

The entire sequence of events was captured in a video shot through Lakshay’s helmet camera. The chilling footage showed Himanshu speeding ahead of his two friends on his Benelli TNT, a superbike capable of rapid acceleration and achieving speeds close to 200 km per hour. While Gazi and Lakshay slowed down for an auto-rickshaw that emerged before them at one occasion, the victim raced ahead.

Delhi man died in accident

Himanshu Bansal is a resident of Vivek Vihar phase two. The deceased and his father were in a business and owned a factory that manufactured utensils at Jhilmil. According to police, a PCR call was received around 9 pm reporting that a man on a sports bike had crashed into a pillar near gate number two of Mandi House metro station.

“When police reached the spot, they discovered that the injured man had been rushed to LNJP Hospital in a private ambulance. A damaged bike, a Benelli TNT 600i, was lying near the footpath at Lady Irwin College gate at Sikandar Road, surrounded by blood spilled around. Meanwhile, the hospital informed the cops that the victim had succumbed to his wounds,” said a senior police officer.

“When the three reached Mandi House metro station, an elderly person was crossing the road. The speeding bike of Himanshu hit that person and lost control. It hit the wall of Lady Irwin college. Passersby helped the injured and sent him to a hospital. All this was recorded in the camera installed in Lakshay’s helmet,” said DCP Singh.

All three of them were a part of a motorcycling group called Super Bikers and had gone to Connaught Place to discuss their plans for an Independence Day ride on Monday when the accident took place while returning home. A case has been registered by the police under Section 279 (rash driving), and 304 (a) (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Barakhamba Road police station.
