Hyderabad Youngsters Wind Off ISIS Banner Condemning Its Activities  

Newly carved out state Telangana’s capital and software hub of the nation, Hyderabad has been always ahead of any other city in grabbing the attention of the people of India due to the terror roots linked to the city. Different Opted by Hyderabadi Youngsters to Bring Down ISIS Influence

Unlike many other fellow citizens, a group of youngsters of the city has chosen a dissimilar path to protest against the ISIS brutalities. Activists and members, who are mostly students and professionals, of a Hyderabad-based group ‘United for Justice’ (UFJ) expressed their views against ISIS activities.

‘United for Justice’ (UFJ) held a poster campaign with its volunteers near the historic Charminar on Thursday afternoon creating awareness among the people excoriating the brutal activities of the Islamic State group. Syed Ayub, a businessman from the Old City, who leads the group said, “The campaign will soon turn into a movement. The community does not support those killing innocents in the name of Islam. The IS group members are not Muslims.”

People and locals of Hyderabad have been advised not to fall prey to Islamic State propaganda by the young participating volunteers, including two girls on the first day of the campaign. A volunteer, Mohd Zubair advised youngsters in the area saying, “Don’t browse any websites or share any IS-related videos, newsletters or pictures. By doing this, we are encouraging radicalisation of people to join the group.”

‘United for Justice’ (UFJ) campaign has been getting more prominence after the arrest of a woman from Hyderabad, Afsha Jabeen alias Nicky Joseph, and her friend Salman Mohiuddin for their contrivance to join Islamic State group. Cops who were ascertained with the influential propaganda of Islamic State group held counseling sessions for a few youngsters which included a teenager, who planned to join the group.

It is believed that a young girl aged a 17-years hailing from Hyderabad had returned to the city after a brief stint with the IS group in Syria. A woman volunteer of ‘United for Justice’ (UFJ) said, “We want to ensure that no Hyderabadi joins the group. All Muslims should join the campaign so that the community does not get a bad name.” Activists of the campaign are claiming that they are looking ahead to continue the campaign across the city for the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, they are also raising their voice against the Islamic State group brutalities through the social media so as to counter the propaganda of the militants and their efforts to recruit innocent Indians. The killing of 129 persons in the IS attack in Paris was condemned by the Moulana Ghousavi Shah, Secretary-General of Conference of World Religions and President, All India Muslims Conference. Moulana Ghousavi Shah said, “Allah will never like those who spread violence and commit a crime against humanity without a valid reason.”
