Attacks On OPPO And VIVO Stores In Pune; Post The India Vs China Rivalry

The advent of the International smartphone companies into the India was inevitable, various Chinese and American mobile companies started selling their mobiles in India in a bid to attain greater profits and bait for a wider market. In this process, a plethora of Chinese companies entered and proved their best in business.

Various political leaders argued about supporting the Chinese mobile companies presence in India. Most of them went saying that on one side Indian Army is facing severe danger from China and on the other hand, India is doing clean business with the rival’s companies.

In many places, common people already started banning the Chinese products virtually. Some activists went forward proceeding with the attacks on the mobile stores.

 

Recently, the stores of OPPO and Vivo in the city of Pune in India faced brutal attacks from hundreds of men, many claimed that they were supporters of the Indian army. It is believed that the assaults on two of the popular Chinese mobile phone brands have come because of the escalated conflict between the two countries over the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, who was, earlier this year, invited to a Buddhist conference hosted by the Indian culture ministry.

Sources claim that the unidentified assailants were believed to be supporting the Indian government over the issue and the attack was supposed to be their way of asserting their unity with the Indian army, however, there is no official statement on the same yet.

No details of the attacks are revealed yet. It is unknown about how many people were injured, or how much property loss has occurred. But it is told that the authorities are going to cease the operations for a while in those areas.

On the whole, it is believed that it is China who is going to face losses from this mishap, as sources claim that the mobile companies like Xiaomi, Huwai, Oppo and Vivo altogether hold 40% of the total Smartphones market in India.
