JEE Main 2015 Topper: Sankalp Gaur from Pune Scores 345 Out of 360

JEE Main Result successfully declared yesterday, now the question is who is the highest scorer of this year? As per Times of India, we came to know that this year ‘Sankalp Gaur’ of DAV Public School from Pune has topped in JEE Main 2015 exam with score of 345 out of 360. The second topper of JEE Main 2015 with the second highest score is Pranay Agarwal from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has scored 341 out of 360.

A tough question paper this year ensured the cut-off for the advanced examination this year came down by 10 points to 105. Over 700 students from Pune are among the 1.5 lakh students who have qualified from all over the country for the advanced exam to be held on May 24.

So, the guy “Sankalp Gaur” who easily solved one of the toughest entrance test paper, also ranked second in KVPY 2015 and has been selected for the International Physics Olympiad. His parents feeling so proud after this achievement, they work in Kirkee Ammunition Factory. He told TOI, “My short-term goal is to do well in the JEE (A). I would like to go for pure sciences and am aiming for IISc, Bangalore, for Physics.”

Tanuj Kaza and Rishabh Shah are amongst the toppers from Maharashtra. While Tanuj scored 335 out of 360, Rishabh scored 332.

Another guy ‘Arindam A Bhattacharya’ student of FIITJEE, he is the state topper from Bengaluru soring 311 out of 360, he already has been selected for MIT and said “he would like to do electrical engineering at MIT”.

Of the 12.92 lakh students who appeared for the exam (offline and online), around 1.52 lakh have qualified to appear for the second tier of exam – JEE (Advanced) – on May 24, for admissions to the premier IITs. Of the total candidates eligible, around 18% are girls.
