“ Mahanati” or “ Nadigaiyar Thilagam” is the Telugu or Tamil biopic film based on the life of South Indian actress Savitri, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt for Vyjayanthi Movies. It stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular role, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Devarakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Anushka Shetty, Mohan Babu, and Prakash Raj. The film began production in May 2017, and is now all set to release on 9th May 2018.

This biopic includes the whole cast like keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarakonda, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Shalini Pandey, Anushka Shetty, Mohan Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Krish, Malavika Nair, avasarala srinivas, krish jagarlamudi and many more experienced artists are seen in this film.

The principal shoot of the biopic of “savitri” garu has began on 29th May 2017 at Ramakrishna Studios in Hyderabad, with the Telugu title confirmed as Mahanati and the Tamil title confirmed as Nadigaiyar Thilagam. Actor Rajendra Prasad joined the cast during the first schedule, while Mickey J Meyer and Dani Sanchez-Lopez were confirmed as music composer and cinematographer respectively.
