Makkah Masjid Blast Case Verdict : IPS Officer Of NIA Was Transferred Before Verdict Raising Suspicion

Hyderabad: After the recent verdict about the Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case of 2007, many were surprised that after for 11 years, the Indian agency NIA was not able to nail the suspects involved in the conspiracy. Several leaders and victims kin, especially among others, raised questions with severe criticism and suspicion.

And now new news reports suggest that an IPS officer of National Investigation Agency, who was related in the case investigation, was transferred. Ms Pratibha Ambedkar, an IPS officer of UP Cadre, was working for NIA and she was called back ten days before the pronouncement of the verdict.

She was not just transferred, but as soon as she was in UP, she was relieved of Makkah Masjid Blast Case. It can be seen to be an alleged attempt to weaken the case.

As per the reports, the Administration Wing of NIA issued orders on 6th April repatriating her to Uttar Pradesh. She was about to complete her tenure of four years of deputation in NIA after the five months from now.

The urgent transfer of this officer belonging to NIA raises some questions. As per some reports, she had also suggested that the call data record of the accused in Dargah Ajmer Shareef Case needs to be obtained, but several officers did not allow the move.

The Central Bureau of Investigation in 2010 alleged that the Hindu right-wing group Abhinav was behind the blast. According to the charge sheet filed, the accused were “angered by terrorist attacks committed on Hindus and their temples” and wanted to “avenge” them by attacking Muslim areas and places of worship.

As a result, Aseemanad was arrested by the CBI in 2010. The charge sheet said that he even made a confessional statement in front of a metropolitan magistrate in Delhi. He had allegedly disclosed the conspiracy behind the bomb blasts in different places, which includes Mecca Masjid. After that reports emerged that he allegedly retracted the statement later.
