Finally, The Man Behind Shah Ghouse Hotel Dog Meat Biryani Rumors On WhatsApp Got Arrested

A famous Hyderabadi restaurant (Shah Ghouse Hotel) got into trouble after a WhatsApp message went viral, stating that the eatery is using dog meat in its biryani. Shah Ghouse Hotel, the famous Hyderabadi eatery known for its biryani, was dragged into the public limelight for the shocking accusation spread virally in Whatsapp.

Police contacted WhatsApp directly, to identify the source of the message, and then found that  22-year-old V Chandra Mohan was the perpetrator. Now, Hotel proprietor Mr. Mohammed Rabbani had lodged a defamation complaint with Cyber Crime police.

MBA Student Arrested For Spreading Fake News:

The offender, V Chandra Mohan, posted that Shah Ghouse restaurant in the city had used dog meat in Biryani. The message went viral and caused enormous financial losses for the eatery. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under sections 290 (committing public nuisance) and 500 (defamation) of the IPC and section 66 (D) of the IT Act.

The police seek the information directly from Whatsapp. Based on the IP address and mobile number details of the offender provided by the company, police on Friday arrested V Chandra Mohan, a goldsmith from Rikab Gunj, also pursuing MBA course.

The accused, V Chandra Mohan (22), already accepted his crime and confessed that he got a message on WhatsApp about a hotel using dog meat; he changed it and wrote that Shah Ghouse was using dog meat.

Accused, V Chandra Mohan Statement:

Cyber Crime ACP S Jayaram said: “Rabbani alleged that the false information was broadcasted by some news channels, resulting in damage to reputation and a huge loss to the business at his restaurants in Shalibanda, Tolichowki, and Gachibowli. Due to the loss in business, some employees of Shah Ghouse also lost their jobs.”

Every message that is being circulated on these social media platforms is not correct, so please don’t just jump to conclusion after reading any message and do further research to check its authenticity.
