Maruti Suzuki’s Premium Hatchback ‘Baleno’ Launched in India with 5 New Variants

Maruti Suzuki, one of the largest car manufacturing companies has launched its premium hatchback, “Baleno” in India which is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 8.11 lakh (ex-Delhi showroom, for the Sigma petrol). Baleno is a premium hatchback which is made in India by Maruti Suzuki. With this new hatchback model, the company aims to acquire a leadership status in a segment which is currently dominated by the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo. Maruti is offering this new hatchback at the best price compared to the pricing of other cars listed above ranging between Rs 5.34 lakh and Rs 8.63 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Indian Pricing

The Maruti Suzuki has designed the Baleno with the company’s Liquid Flow design. The car comes with added DRLs, projector headlamps, chrome finish and 16-inch alloys. The interior of the new Baleno is very fresh with a new infotainment system along with Apple CarPlay. The higher trims of the hatchback get a TFT multi-infotainment that comes with a rear parking camera display.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno – Most Fuel-Efficient Car

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the most fuel-efficient car in its segment. The car will be available with a choice of a petrol and a diesel engine which are borrowed from the Maruti Swift hatchback. The engines of the car come mated to 5-speed manuals. However, there is also a CVT option available with the petrol motor that brings up the total number of variants to nine. The petrol variants of the Baleno return an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.4kmpl while the diesel version offers an outstanding 27.39kmpl.

The new Baleno hatchback has four trims that are offered with both the diesel and petrol units. Despite being a bigger car, the Baleno weighs around 100kg less than the Swift.

Maruti Suzuki has launched its premium hatchback Baleno in India with five. It has distributed the features and equipment across all the variants of the Baleno.

1. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Sigma

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Sigma is one variant that gets body coloured doors, front power windows, ORVMs, manual AC, headlamp leveling device, central locking, power steering with tilt function, front and rear accessory socket, anti-theft security, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, driver seat belt reminder and front seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters.

2. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Delta

The Delta trim is dominated by a dash of chrome which is present on the accent grille. It also comes with full wheel caps, keyless entry, metal finish for door handles and parking brake, reverse parking sensors, MP3-enabled audio system, aux and USB along with Bluetooth, steering mounted controls, rear power windows with auto-up for the driver, electrically foldable ORVMs, adjustable rear head rest. It has the capability of climate control.

3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Zeta

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Zeta has more bling with chrome door handles along with alloy wheels, front fog lamps, glove box illumination, boot light, front footwell light, MFD with colour display, leather wrapped steering wheel, special UV-cut glass, follow me home headlamps and push button start.

4. Maruti Baleno Alpha

Maruti Baleno Alpha is the top-trim of the Baleno that uses the maximum equipment. The car comes with LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps, voice command, navigation system and Apple CarPlay.

5. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Delta CVT

Delta CVT trim is available only with the petrol mill and has features that are similar to the Delta trim.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to export Baleno to its parent company, Suzuki Motor Corp in Japan for the first time ever.
