Reuben Paul, who is now 9 years old, could be the world’s youngest CEO. This third grader is already an accomplished hacker, cyber security expert and an app developer. What’s more is the fact that he’s the founder of his own company ‘Prudent Games,’ an application developing firm that creates games that teach kids about cyber security.

Reuben had delivered his own keynote address on Children’s’ day at the Ground Zero Summit 2014, Asia’s foremost conference on information security. Reuben was also the youngest attendee at the Ground Zero Summit 2015 as a ‘special ambassador’ to share his knowledge of teaching cyber security to kids. Ground Zero Summit is one of the biggest hacker conferences in the world.

“I remember when he was five, him using words like firewall and I was totally surprised that a kid could understand and pick up those things,” Reuben’s father, Mano Paul told in an interview. Mano Paul, who trained his son in Object C programming language, is also the partner in Prudent Games.

Reuben attends school in Austin, Texas in the US. His mother Sangeetha says, “Reuben was selected for the Gifted and Talented programme (run by the Texas education system) and had to make a game. The others made board games and such like, but Reuben who is passionate about video games decided to come up with one. That game was about shooting Ninja stars.”

Reuben says that he cut his teeth in the field with ‘credential harvesting’, a technical term for stealing passwords. “With great hacking skills you get power, and with great power comes great responsibility,” he says, quoting his hero, Spider-Man.

“With all the data breaches, cyber-bullying and other kinds of attacks happening on the Internet, it’s important for us to teach kids and educate them on the dangers so they can protect themselves,” Reuben said in an interview.

Reuben started the company in August 2014, and now, he has designed and developed many games, all by himself. When he is not hacking and developing new apps, Reuben takes Kung Fu, gymnastics and swim lessons and loves spending time with his friends. Once voted America’s most beautiful baby, he is also the youngest American to get a Black belt in ShaolinDo KungFu. His dream job is to be a businessman by day and a cyber spy by night.
