Moral policing brings in a fresh story again this time leaving an innocent Muslim youngster to be it victim in Mangalore. Muslim youngster was tripped, thrashed, dragged into the streets, made to run along roads and in the end he was tied to an electric pole and beaten. This shocking incident is reported  to have happened in Mangalore were the preliminary reports bring in the story that he was beaten up for speaking with a girl who was from another community (Hindu).

Moral Policing of Hindutva Vigilante Makes Innocent Muslim Youngster as Victim

This bizarre of incident moral policing took place in the town of Mangalore in Karnataka where a 28-year Muslim youngster was stripped and thrashed. As per the reports of the youngster, he was speaking with his  woman colleague in order to give her some money after being asked to lend on Monday evening and it was when he was assaulted brutally.

Registering a complaint with cops the victim said ” I was in my car and my colleague (woman)  was standing outside, trying to give her money as she has asked me to lend some money to meet her essentials.” The outraged moral policing  Hindutva group was calling into question the woman why she was mouthing with the man who was from another community.

Perhaps the incensed group wasn’t satisfied with the assault they did to the young man as they shared photos, posts, WhatsApp messages of him tied to an electric pole which were viral in social media. Police forces who intervened into the issue after being briefed about the incident claimed both the man and the girl used to work in the same supermarket located and the man has been hospitalized due to injuries sustained from the incident.

Although as of now no clear reports have been accounted regarding the assaulting group, their motives, political affiliations while police are investigating this issue in all regards. However, this hasn’t been the first incident to have occurred in Mangalore. Bajrang Dal ‘activists’ have disdained female students to travel for a study trip in the month of March. Earlier in the month of February a student was reportedly abducted and assaulted by a group of men who accused him of featuring in a photograph shared on WhatsApp, which showed a man lying on the laps of fellow lady students.

In another shocking case, a days ago on Friday two 2nd year BBM girls were suspended by the Kukke Sri Subrahmanyeswara College in Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district after their images with wine and beer bottles at a tourist spot were widely shared on WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
