The United States of America’s American Space Agency NASA has launched a video of a humanoid robot named Valkyrie dancing. Valkyrie, a next-generation humanoid robot capable of performing tasks such as walking over uneven terrain, climbing a ladder, using tools, and driving. This robot is dancing on the beats revealing its flexibility, balance like no other robot has had.

Valkyrie is also known as R5 was originally designed to help in disaster relief activities. But the NASA scientists have found a better way they can use the humanoid robot by sending it onto Mars for searching life and to know how the planet became a deserted place where once water flowed. Because Valkyrie had to be able to operate in the same spaces as a person, the team chose to base the robot on a human form.

Talking of dimensions, R5 robot is 6 feet tall, weighs 290 pounds and has a human-like appearance. A glowing Nasa logo on its chest gives the imposing humanoid more than a passing resemblance to Iron Man. The ultimate goal to Valkyrie is to be autonomous, his activity is currently limited to about an hour, powered by a battery. Thus, the robot is scheduled to journey to Mars in 2021.

Not only to Mars, the space agency intends to see it as a potential tool for other extraterrestrial locations. In the video, Valkyrie was seen dancing and waving hands and legs to the music.
